Journey to Self.
The Journey to Self, is the unfolding of a lifelong return—one that began as Dani’s own, and in its natural expansion, has become a space for others to step into their own becoming.
It exists as a current, a quiet pulse beneath the noise, a rhythm that calls each person back to themselves. NILU does not offer answers, only space. It does not seek to fix, only to witness. Here, the journey is personal, sovereign, and ever-unfolding.
Like the wind moving through ancient branches, the pulse of the ocean returning to shore, NILU is not something to reach for—it is something to remember. A hum that has always been there, waiting. A return—the Journey to Self.
Dani Zarnegin
Growing up in Basel, Switzerland—nestled between forest trails and a winding river—Dani was raised in a spiritually rich home touched by diverse cultural influences and a strong sense of community. Her upbringing was a vivid blend of her parents’ hospitality, a disciplined education, and the wild freedom of the Swiss outdoors.
From a young age, curiosity carried her into long wanderings through neighborhoods, forests, and into open waters where she swam without fear. Nature became one of her earliest companions. This instinct to wander, to lose herself in mystery and reemerge changed, fortified her connection to the unseen and became a thread that would shape her life’s path.
Dani’s studies in Art Science, German Literature, and Philosophy in Basel and Berlin fed her quest for meaning—but her path was never about titles or institutions. It was about connection, relationship, and witnessing others—leading her towards work that could more directly touch people’s lives.
In 2009, Dani met one of her main mentors and stepped into spiritual work. She began to understand that her gift was not just in teaching, but in holding a warm field, guided by attuned intuition and shaped by her own cycles of deep transformation. Having walked through many births and rebirths, she meets others in liminal spaces with grounded presence, trust, and care.
Out of this path, NILU was born. NILU is a return to Self. It is rooted in Dani’s belief that we are sovereign beings with free will—and that healing happens in relationship, in the spaces where we’re reminded we’re not alone, that we are a collective, and that we all belong.
NILU has become a community of seekers, creatives, and wisdom-keepers, all remembering who they are—together. Dani describes this as a dance into the mystery: or the willingness to walk into the unknown with curiosity, playfulness, integrity, and wonder. She believes each of us carries the map home within us. Her role is to create a loving field where that remembering can unfold.
